I'm so disappointed in the Dallas Stars

It's bad enough being a Flyers fan. Flyers haven't made the playoffs in 3 seasons, and when they have in the past 20 years, they lose in the most disappointing way.

I always counted on the Dallas Stars as my backup team when the Flyers let me down.

Now the Stars are letting me down.

A home playoff game where everything's on the line, and they lost 6-0. Are you kidding me?

I'm not upset they lost. I'm upset that they lost 6-0. It's one thing to lose 3-2 when you put everything out there, but 6-0. Were you even trying to win? Or did you lose on purpose?

I can relate......... I am a Canes fan. the Panthers series was brutal. Lost games 1 and 2 in OT, lost game 4 on a goal with 5 seconds left in regulation....... Tkachuk scored the winning goal in all three of those games. Rough.

@MayorOfCrushtown Your canes won a SC in your lifetime though. I'm a Flyers fan. Last time the Flyers won a cup:

1. Average income was $14,100
2. Average cost of a new house was $39,300
3. The week the Flyers won the cup, the #1 hit song was "Until the last Teardrop Falls" by Freddy Fender
4. Gas was 62¢ a gallon
5. VHS and Betamax were being introduced.

So in that time, the cost of a new house increased 10x, average wages increased 5x, gas increased 5x and VHS and Betamax became obsolete.

As for my Dallas Stars, their last win was 1999 and was marred in controversy due to the crease rule.

@ChristipherPaul i remember that Stars game when they won the cup........ seems like it was 2 or 3 OT, right ??

@MayorOfCrushtown Yes. I was 7-8 when that happened, and my mom made me go to bed after regulation. It wasn't until much later that I heard about the controversy surrounding it.

@MayorOfCrushtown With Brent Burns on the ice for all 3 Tkachuk GWGs. That's how he was with the Sharks - he'll get lots of points on offense but don't expect much defense out of him.
