I'm so disappointed in the Dallas Stars

It's bad enough being a Flyers fan. Flyers haven't made the playoffs in 3 seasons, and when they have in the past 20 years, they lose in the most disappointing way.

I always counted on the Dallas Stars as my backup team when the Flyers let me down.

Now the Stars are letting me down.

A home playoff game where everything's on the line, and they lost 6-0. Are you kidding me?

I'm not upset they lost. I'm upset that they lost 6-0. It's one thing to lose 3-2 when you put everything out there, but 6-0. Were you even trying to win? Or did you lose on purpose?

Dallas played terrible last night, but Vegas was desperate to win. I don’t know if it was Benn coming back or what, but they didn’t show up at all. One of the most disappointing playoff games I’ve watched so far this year, besides the Oilers loss to Vegas.

@Canuckle You'd think they lost on purpose.

I mean, you don't lose 6-0 in a playoff game when everything's on the line "on accident."

You lose a game like that "on accident" by scores of 3-2 or 4-2. Something respectable.

6-0? On home ice? Completely disrespectful. They HAD to have lost on purpose.

@ChristipherPaul Well they have been running too many gambling adds up here in Canada, so maybe you’re right. The Stars just didn’t align last night.

That's one thing that I'm always astounded to hear. That a person has a backup team. Are you freaking crazy that's like having a backup girlfriend when your wife won't put out.

Either you're committed to one team holy totally forever or you're just a bandwagon jumper when they're up you're on when they're down you're off and whining.

I used to be a cowboys fan. Flat out totally wall to wall star blue totally but then this damn kneeling s*** happen and I dropped them like a bad habit and I haven't gone back since.

My Sharks, down 3 games to 1 to Vegas in 2019, came back and won the series, in dramatic fashion. Guess the Stars didn't have it in them.

@graphite When you're a Flyers fan, it happens every year. Not often a blowout, sometimes a choke, but still. You'd expect them to lose any other way considering that it's a must-win game.

On the record, as a Flyers fan, I have burnt 3 jerseys in my lifetime, in 2008, 2009 and 2018.

2000: Blew 3-1 lead
2001: 8-0
2002: Held to just one goal against #7 Ottawa
2006: 7-1
2008: 6-0
2009: Blew 3-0 lead Game 6
2010: Michael Leighton
2011: 5-1
2016: 1-0
2018: Blew 4-1 lead Game 6
2020: 4-0

@ChristipherPaul Flyers won the Cup in '74 and '75 and have been back to the Finals a bunch of times since then, only to lose each time.

@ChristipherPaul Wow! You burnt your jerseys. The only jersey of mine that was burnt was by my wife. You Phili fans are die hard. Next year will be a tough one - new GM, new direction and a non-players coach.
I can relate......... I am a Canes fan. the Panthers series was brutal. Lost games 1 and 2 in OT, lost game 4 on a goal with 5 seconds left in regulation....... Tkachuk scored the winning goal in all three of those games. Rough.
@ChristipherPaul i remember that Stars game when they won the cup........ seems like it was 2 or 3 OT, right ??

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy Yes. I was 7-8 when that happened, and my mom made me go to bed after regulation. It wasn't until much later that I heard about the controversy surrounding it.

@SheCallsMeCrushDaddy With Brent Burns on the ice for all 3 Tkachuk GWGs. That's how he was with the Sharks - he'll get lots of points on offense but don't expect much defense out of him.
