How long was she without food and water or did she freeze?

I’m sorry for your loss and for your guilt.

How old was this hamster? Did you know that they only live for two years?
Carinly · 18-21, F

As horrible as your action was , Im proud of you for taking acountability. My fish died when I was 7 😔 I was irresponsible too. Learn from it and promise yourself to never buy another pet or own one until you fully understand the commitment and hours of care thats needed.

@SW-User thank you, i will never have one again, this left an terrible feeling in my heart

@Carinly it sounds like you learnt your lesson. You should look into getting an therapist to help you cope and move past this.
Been there. My then g/f was returning to her home and could not take them ( she dumped two on me at different times). I learned to care for them, became attached and when they passed I was beside myself! My last one enjoyed beer and sausage pizza! If I left him in a field ( stupid move as there were birds of prey about) he’d always come back and stop next to my shoe. I stopped after realizing it was dangerous for him. Nice memories.

@soar2newhighs i felt so guilty and mad at myself. How long did it take for u to get over it ? 😞

No sympathy from me! 🖕 Letting them die from thirst and starvation is stupid and cruel! You could have taken it to a pet shop and left it there, or left it to someone that cares.

@UnderLockDown i don't live in america, in fact i live in third world country and my city got no vet so i can't bring her to them.. but yes i am sorry and it is very horrible what i did i regret taking her in in the first place. I don't want sympathy .. all i want is to vent

@SW-User please I don't wanna treat them like an object that can be replaced.
