That bartender earlier today was rude 😒
First, I arrive at the bar and had to wait for a while before the guy actually showed up because he was busy(?) in the restaurant area and when he eventually showed up, I got bad vibes from him from the get-go. He wasn’t too talkative and his whole demeanor suggested he didn’t want to be there.
When I first arrived, I grabbed a stool from a table and used it to sit at the bar since there were none at the bar. Last time, I was there, they said that was okay, but I guess we’re not supposed to. He asked me to put the stool back, which I was totally okay with. The way he said it, though, real quick and assertive like he was annoyed. My bad, sheesh… Still, I was being nice and patient for him, hoping that showing him I’m a decent patron would lighten up his mood. No such luck,. He was just short on words and just not smiling the whole time.
I was there waiting for company and when she eventually showed up, we both started ordering drinks. Despite this bartender not being real chatty, his service was going pretty good. Until after our fourth drink, he came back and actually complained, saying “You two are ordering four drinks in thirty minutes!” My company and I were both dumbfounded by that. Sorry you have customers at your bar who are there to frickin’ drink. We were going to stay longer, but that totally killed our vibe. I regret doing this now, but I was still nice enough to leave him a tip. Definitely regret it, damn it, lol. Guess I was hoping it would give him something to think about in regards to his behavior. Doubt it, though…
That totally would’ve ruined my day, but fortunately, it wasn’t enough to stop my company from having a good time together after we left. But now that she’s gone, I have time to think look back and realize just how much it bothered me. What a jackass! To think the two bartenders who were there last time were so friendly! Hard to believe I was at that same bar.
