I Just Need To Vent

I feel like there is still a large group of individuals in the world that are clueless about introversion.

So I had to go to a few orientations with an organization I joined. Now let me tell you the orientations is like a living nightmare. As a introvert, I can only do so much in a day... There are things that I just don't enjoy. For instance, being called on to answer a question when one isn't ready or prepared to answer... Like my mind doesn't respond as quickly as others(extroverts). I like to sit back and actually think about the answer to the question being asked at a safer setting... like home where I can discuss it with people that I trust and feel comfortable with. That should count as participation! Listening and reflecting at home to discuss with others. And just let the extroverts do all the talking and answering questions at the moment.

Man I just wish that society would be more sensitive towards introverts.

It's not easy as an introvert to have to engage in those kind of settings. It took a long time for me to get comfortable doing that kind of thing, and it still sucks up all of my energy to the point I need time alone after. Make sure you have something for you, a book, a quiet place, etc. set up after a day of putting yourself out there.
