I feel for those who go to war or have fought in a war, especially in the early years of war because they had no idea what they were getting into at the time , now a days people choose and know what they are doing

Because it is not true. Tell it to all those who have been r*ped, stalked, abducted, robbed, have a horrible disease, etc... I'm sure they were not thinking and feeling that before it happened!

That is precisely why the US has always marched off to war at the drop of a hat... because the common American man has NOT refused to fight, despite his own country having never been in jeopardy of invasion by foreign adversaries.
Americans march off to foreign wars (which they don't win) because some egotistical nut job has always told them to and Americans never push-back. That is also why the US is a failing nation right now because Americans don't push-back against Trump. You voted for him, now enjoy the ride he's taking you on!
