how come everyone seems to be happy and grinning when i'm going through dark times

i've noticed this recently, i'm going through dark times of which i have had many dark times and people everywere online and in real life seem to be happy and grinning widely....i'm thinking is this a conspiracy against me? i do deal with paranoia as well.....how should i see it or deal with it?

Join in on the happiness. I crashed a party once didnt know anyone in the building, it was crowded and the birthday boy asked me to join him he was sitting on a platform like a throne and he was like mouthing the words, come up here! And beckonong me with his hand. So i went! He asked me who i knew there, i said, i know you now! And i introduced myself. We sat there for hours laughing, talking and drinking, enjoying music. We talked about high school, what schools we attended. Turned out we knew some of the same people, It was one of the best days of my life.
