Falconry glove is great, but if you wear a leather sleeve for and Eagle all dogs maybe taken away. Especially if you announce loud your recovery eagle is due to come in for a checkup.

An actual sizing to a man's fist with and eagle Tallon. Makes you realize how a mature Bald eagle or Golden eagle can take an adult mountain sheep/goat off of a mountain.

@WillaKissing No golden eagles here. The red-tailed hawks are big enough to catch small dogs. A woman heard her chihuahua barking and snarling and looked up and a red-tailed hawk had it in its clutches. The dog was so persistent in his snarls and yapping that the hawk dropped him, and he yelped but survived.

@cherokeepatti I have Bald Eagles around my farm, and I watch for the redtails hawks when I have a puppy on the farm.

@WillaKissing People will stick their small dogs out in the yard for hours at a time and not watch them or have them in a covered dog run. They are just taking their chances when there are red-tailed hawks here. I have seen them catch and eat robins here in my neighborhood and they’ll go after doves too. Ray caught one that had just caught a dove and went over and rescued it from the hawk.
