if you are going to tip at least make sure it's appropriate..

customers tipped me ,$5.00 for a $400.00 charter, I even let them catch limits on catfish and crappie

I once saw a sign in a bar/restaurant that said: "Tipping is not a city in China." For decades I've been leaving cash as a tip when using a debit/credit card so folks won't have to claim it on their income tax.

Wow, I give the pizza guy more than that.

@MarineBob Were they foreigners, and had no clue how tipping works?

@AbbeyRhode it's early in the tourist season

@MarineBob If people can afford $400 for a fishing trip, they can afford a decent tip.

When I go on a charter I tip the boat at least 40 each being you let them go to the limits that would be at least 60$ for each crew member

MarineBob · 56-60, M

They could have at least gave you a tip with the fish they caught, how many buckets would that come to? Just asking in case I charter a boat for a fishing trip.

Yeah, but most offshore charters are not $400, with even bigger boats and more expenses.

Catching limits is just good marketing, no?

Jesus that sucks!
Fukfacewillie · 56-60, M
Yikes, that sucks.

Those people are the fucking worst. You should do what some restaurants are doing now, and have a chart that calculates percentages for people who don't want to do the math.
