What do you think of 'acknowledgement of country' or equivalent where you live?
Here in Oz it's pushed like we have to constantly be 'apologising' to indigenous peoples.

Funny you should say that. I remember watching a documentary a few years ago which featured Canada's Prime Minister, Jean Chretien who was Canada's Liberal majority PM from 1993 to 2003.
What he said about Canada's Indigenous peoples was that Queen Elizabeth herself could get down on her knees begging for forgiveness from them... and two years later, she'd still be on her knees begging.
Prior to becoming PM of Canada, Jean Chretien was the Federal Minister of Indian Affairs for Canada, so he knows how the Indigenous people think and what their modus operandi has always been, so I get what you're going through in Oz!

I think eventually Australians will rebel against this "forced" acknowledgement of country.
Australians have lived here all their lives. Generations have lived here all their lives.
Surely it is our country as well.
This acknowledgement has gone way too far. Many, many department websites have acknowledgement blurbs. I have even come across some sites that if I do not click on the acknowledgement button, I am denied access.
Aboriginals are going too far.
