Will anything ever be nostalgic again,

Or are we all just too old for that?

That depends on your ability to feel emotions. You can be nostalgic about as little as listening to a song a lot in this period of time when you look back in 10 years.

Funny how I thought about this just yesterday. That things I felt super nostalgic and romantic about just a few years ago don't move me anymore. I covered them with new impressions of those particular places. It's like turning a page and starting anew. It's as if a part of my life ended, the chapter closed and I don't really have the access to it anymore.

To explain better what I mean: it's memories from my childhood that I used to recognize as nostalgic as a teen or in my early 20s. Memories of places that now look differently or my dreams I once had of them when I was younger. Thinking about it no longer triggers those kind of emotions. It's suddenly a very banal thing.

We have to go make new memories

@DDonde a trouble is getting them to stick.

Actually, it happens when I associate new experiences with things.

For example, the music I listened to in college, even though that was only five years ago

Nostalgia died with the boomers. Nostalgia is too expensive now. Staycations are all that can be afforded now, and what's nostalgic about that?
