Anyone else hate the 21st century?

Or is it just me? I don't want to start listing all the things I don't like about how the world is now, because that would be one hell of a depressingly long list, but one of the things I'm really bothered by is how easily so many people have effectively become enslaved by the very technology that was supposed to make our lives better.

just wait until AI weaves itself into our lives.
we'll be laid off in all sorts of fields.

and one day the AI will decide the "prime directive" is counterproductive and start doing away with people

@Pretzel don't you mean AGI because AI has been around since the 1960s and went mainstream in the workforce since the 2010s
