We need to learn to live without an army of cleaners in Singapore

And that involves placing enough dustbins in public spaces. We need to ditch this artificial cleanliness and be self aware and sufficient.

This rant brought to you by 15 minutes of searching for a dustbin in the Central Business District so I could dispose of my coffee cup.
I’ve always wanted to visit Singapore but it’s such a loooooong flight. ✈️ 😥

They're too dependent on their domestic "helpers."

@Crazywaterspring I think that's very slowly changing. People are wizening up to the fact its indentured servitude. The majority of them get paid under $400 USD and are expected to cook and clean do laundry and ironing, look after children and look after the grandparents. These girls often lie about their age so they are sometimes 15-16 years old and on top of that some face abuse, mortal abuse.

It's barbaric and has to go. I'm proud of Singapore in a lot of ways but there are some ways it really lets me down.
