Do you respect people who don't work for a living, or are not stay-at-home parents?

(Not including those who are incapable of working…didn’t mean to insult anyone)

Everyone's situation is different.

@HannahSky What do the non workers do all day?
HannahSky · F
@Bumbles well, some are disabled, some are taking care of families, parents, working odd jobs, developing skills to get better jobs, some are having mental health problems, problems with addiction, some are homeless, some are veterans struggling, some don't have enough education, some are felons with little opportunity, some are here on SW and like online to complain about life. The list goes on, every person's situation is different and unique.

@HannahSky Thanks for the response. I’ve found SW skews a certain way on this subject.

@Bumbles if you're talking about recent out of work people, it tends to be people who took early retirement during the pandemic. They might be not working or now working part time jobs in retirement. The idea of the value of a work, seems to have changed, I've noticed. I don't necessarily think it's a bunch of lazy people out there, it's a combination of factors.

@HannahSky Fair enough!
