All of us or just a few?
Been thinking about this since at least Heinlein, Lazarus Long, and Time Enough for Love, not to mention Interview with a Vampire and it's progeny, and a whole bunch of Science Fiction along the way.
Long lifetimes aren't the problem, imo, as much as what they entail, who else gets them, and FWIW, what the cost is in terms of changing humanity.
