Love deepens in times of pain. Yet there’s so many who try to avoid that. As a result they end up with no love for life.

I once read this quote:

“If you share your pain, disappointments, or challenges, you give people who love you an opportunity to love you more.”

@CookieCrumbs YES! That’s exactly right. True love is not afraid of difficulty because that’s where it finds it’s strength.

@CookieCrumbs @Reject Spot on.

I think if we love someone, we shouldn’t rob them of the opportunity to express their love for us.

@CookieCrumbs This is true. Sadly many don’t believe their struggles will be loved. They’re not wrong to feel this way as we live in a world that very much lacks it.

@CookieCrumbs Yes indeed.
Some people won't let us love them though or can't accept love. It feels like a burden or anxiety for them, maybe as if they lose freedom.
@Magenta
It is sad but there are really people like that. I’ve had my share of those experiences.

@Magenta I’m very much that way. Anxious about receiving love. That’s only when I can tell they don’t love theirself though. What we’ve all described here is an ability only those who love theirself have. I’m far too difficult if you don’t.

@CookieCrumbs the pain is less one is "shared" and both people grow together. It's nice and special
@CookieCrumbs it's not true. In my situation people have started making fun of me.

@littlepuppywantanewlife If people have made fun of your pain, then I can tell you one thing. They do not love you. Here’s something to consider though. If that bothers you, then you don’t love yourself either. No one can be there for you except for you and until you are? You’ll try to make other people.
