Why do I hate myself when surrounded by other people

Introverts usually look for people who have things in common, coz other introverts make them most comfortable. That would explain why some people like the company of others who are similar to them, and not people who differ too much

Comparison? "The grass in greener on the other side" kind of thing.

Because people ruin everything.

And the introvert thing. That, too.
