How do you find someone that 'gets' you? And how do you know when to give up?

I haven't succeeded yet, so I've given up for all intents and purposes knowing my ship probably sailed long ago never to come back to port.

I feel like a perpetual 'ghost ship' in the big sea of humanity.

Honestly, I get what you mean. It’s a strange kind of loneliness when you can be surrounded by people and still feel unseen. I haven’t found that connection either, but I like to think there’s still time.
You might feel like a ghost ship, but you still have light. Someone will see it eventually.

@mindstruggle maybe I have to learn or re-learn how to turn the lights on.

It feels strange being always around people who are part of couples and I can't understand what that's like.
