When I was 20 I didn’t think I’d make it past 30 but now that I’m 37 I’m good. I no longer fear making it to any age. Just live how you want to live everyday and you’ll be fine no matter when you go.
@PrestonJ That is SO TRUE.
When I was in my late 20's I thought I'd be lucky to make it to 30. When I was 30, I thought "40 is old, I'll never make it to 40." My 40's and 50's blew by in a big blur.... kids, college, new 'adventurous' jobs (start-ups with 60 hour weeks).... Then I woke-up one morning and thought...."Holy sh*t, I am old enough to retire." So I retired (semi, I guess) and have never been busier even though retirement means "every day is Saturday."
It is a nice feeling, just like being a teenager but cooler.... I have no debt, I get an allowance (Social Security check every month), I have a car that I can drive anywhere I want and my time is my own to do ANYTHING I want......
The downside is that you realize at some point that your circle of friends in getting much smaller each year due to their passing....
