@MyMonstersAreReal its just so hard because everyone needs me to be okay..... and I'm not
@Cigarguys the kiddos are safe and asleep. You don’t need to be okay. We are all here for you.

no it's rough because your mate is gone and you have to deal with not only his death and the arrangements thereof but also his responsibilities which are many and it's a lot to go through alone but at least you have his buddy.. 😐 very sorry for your loss he was a great dad and mate and .. it will be a great loss for a long while. hugs

No one expects you to be okay.
If everyone is asleep than this is a good time to let some of that debilitating emotion out.
Let the tears flow until they stop. Please do not try to suppress your real feelings. Letting them out really does help one to cope.
At this moment, “okay” is a foreign language.

“Not okay” is not weakness and it’s not failure. It’s a rational acceptance of what has happened so recently. I’d be concerned if you WERE okay.

Our instincts tell us that when we’re deeply hurt and scared, to cry out. And we should listen.

There’s no cave lion at the entrance of the cave.

But a member of your tribe is gone. Someone vital and comforting, safe and nurturing. Someone who loved and was loved.

You can’t make others okay. They have their own grieving to do, and it’s important they do that grieving. What you can do is acknowledge both your grief and theirs. You can huddle around the fire with them. You can make a pact that all of you will do your best to comfort and support each other.

Humans are vulnerable. Humans don’t live forever. We spend our lives pretending we’re going to live forever, but at some point we learn we were wrong.

Life won’t let you not be okay in the end. One day you succeed at putting on your shoes. Then you cook a meal. Then you step out for some air, and you continue breathing. And then you pick up the pieces and you go on.

But it is exactly okay not to be okay right now. You are in an emotional and spiritual intensive care unit, and there are other beds in that unit.

Love each other. Be kind to yourself and the rest of the patients. This burden is not yours alone. Lean on each other and those who care about you and yours.

You will be okay.

Of course you aren't. But you aren't expected to be. You lost someone who you loved and was very special to you. There are no time limits for grief. Everyone is different. I wish i had magic words to tell you but i don't. But i am praying for you and your family.
