i have people in my life who died in their elder years and their lives towards were so tough--constant pain and discomfort. It seems like non existing anymore was a better option for some of them at some point. I figure we will all get there at one time in different ways. from illness, a car accident something where existence is physically painful and unplesant.
we are so lucky that modern medicine can give us a long stretch but maybe it is only as good as the comfort that can accompany it?

@robertsnj I agree. If they can't stop or at least slow the aging process, a longer life isn't worth it.
