The grave of Jules Verne

Has a sculpture of Verne bursting out of his tomb.
The sculpture is called "Toward immortality and eternal youth" and the face was created using Verne's death mask.

I didn't know about this. Like others have already said, his books encouraged me to read more, even though they were, of course, translations. He knew how to use contemporary scientific understanding to create great adventures. For me, much more engaging than Treasure Island and others of that ilk.

jules verne is without a doubt one of my favorite author...

read lot of his books. I felt in love with 20 000 leagues under the sea or journey to the center of the earth

@pikminboy Mysterious Island is an amazing book - I'd like to read it again - and I've never read 20K or Journey but definitely will.
Wow…that’s very moving.

Mmmm, I wonder how Dante Alighieri's grave is marked?
