In history, Genocides usually start with "relocation". The Armenians, Greeks and Assyrians in the Ottoman Empire were blamed for every social ill by the Turks. They were "relocated" too (which were death marches into the Syrian desert).
It's by no accident that most of the people deported are brown Latinos. People have been deported without any ties criminal gangs, many who have been deported were in the US legally.
Trump has also floated the idea of deporting US citizens to El Salvador.
