Is death something you think about/ are lighthearted about?

Or is it something you try not to think about, a serious thing.

I am the former. It's always been a subject I have been fascinated with and something I am at peace with when the time comes.

I hope it's not agony on the way, but I look forward to the release of it.

I am dying, it's not easy, unfortunately I've had regular tasters of what my death will most probably be like. So I likely think about it more than most people do.

You wouldn't let a cat or dog go through this, it'd be considered cruel.

@AntisocialTroll Would it be out of line to ask what is causing it?

@AntisocialTroll It is strange that we let humans suffer the way we do. Its not right 😔
@AntisocialTroll I believe in the right to die. You should have full control over it, to decide. I believe a lot of people OD on Fentanyl for this very reason. It is easy to obtain and you can administer it yourself. Not sure what death would be like that, but I imagine your brain is so off the rails you won't consciously think about it until everything fades to black.

@JamesBugman I'm in the UK, Fentanyl is not easy to obtain here and I don't have any kind of contact for drugs except the Dr.

@Punches I have severe Bronchiecstasis, asthma, stage 4 COPD, severe right sided heart failure and a moderate problem with a left hand heart valve, so my breathing is knackered, the heart failure is the worst, I have periods of 20-60 minutes where I just can't catch my breath, no medication helps I just have to do my best to ride them out, they come out of nowhere and I no longer go out because of it, there isn't much they can do about the heart failure attacks except to try and keep the COPD under control, my heart and lungs are enlarged so I've serious pain from that and there are a lot of really horrible things that go hand in hand with the heart failure attacks that I'd rather not go into. Dying can be a lot longer process, that is far more horrible than you'd think.

@Kuronekko Agreed! There have been plenty of times recently that if I'd have had a button to press to just get it over with I would've, unfortunately I just keep going with almost zero quality of life in a constant state of suffering.

My apologies for the long misery post but as I'm sure you can imagine this is the toughest thing I've ever been through and it is making me utterly miserable.
