Condolences on your deepest loss. I can never understand why a loved one chooses to ignore one's health to the detriment of one's own life. I currently have a brother who is dying because of denial. It makes me angry and sad. I just have to come to terms with it. It is a lesson to you and to me. How will you honour her besides sitting in shiva? I will pay tribute to my brother by planting a tree or rosebush or making a stepping stone with his dates and name upon it. Blessings.

@PoetryNEmotion Thank you so much. I’m writing a book and she’s the inspiration for a main character… my way of honoring her. I love the idea of planting something in their name too.

@Akimbo75 A book is an excellent tribute. You are most welcome. I like tributes that grow over the years too. Blessings.

I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you can find a way to ease your pain. Sometimes I think the religious rituals are designed more to ease our pain than to help the departed. We all try to find safe haven when we weather the storm. May you find peace.

I'm sorry she went in pain.
Yet I'm sure she's able to see the jokes from above and laugh. Her countless givings .. some people, women and men, do this. They never learn properly about how to receive so they are all receiving through giving.
And then there're other, scared souls coming from intense scarcity that never learned how to give and are constantly trying to earn and receive..
It is said that giving and receiving are not that different.
Blessed be her soul and good luck on your journey and book writing. 🌹🌻

You sense and KNOW that she is in heaven...so you don't NEED those rituals. Your family does, so humor them. I am sorry for your pain.
