Clean up the mess......

What happens with the blood splatter after the coroner takes the body out of someones home? Is there a special cleaning service that specifies in that field?

Or does the home owner have to clean it up?

It is the home owners responsibility no matter who, what or why the biological material was left. You can pay some one, and companies exist that specialize in just that.

My ex wife's grandfather chose the 12ga exit out of life. Because her grandparents were the only ones in her family that ever treated me with respect and dignity. Out of respect and love for her grandparents , I took it on myself to remove all the biological matter that was deposited over and embedded in ever square inch of an enclosed 10'x20' outdoor patio.

Scrapping the grey matter and blood off the ceiling of someone you respect and love is an experience that I hope never to repeat. I finished all the patching , painting, replaced the carpet and was loading up my tools when the rest of the family arrived. So they never had to see the nightmare left behind.

After working non-stop for 10 hrs to accomplish all that work. When I got home my wife informed me, " I didn't feel like cooking so I ordered a pizza". My appetite instantly disappeared to her amazement. She is not a stupid woman by any means, but to this day
I still wonder WTF were you thinking , knowing all along what I just spent an entire day cleaning up. Things that make you go Humm.

I hope none of you ever have to experience the emotion of scraping someone you love off the walls and ceiling and picking bone fragments out of the drywall. A 12 ga to the head looks like a bomb went off taking the entire head almost completely off. The he things we do for love and respect. SMH

@goodlil666 Im sorry you had to go through that .. i cant even imagine what that would be like..

@SledgeHammer I was able to do it out of love and respect for the man. A decorated WWII veteran that him and his wife were the only ones of my in-laws that treated me with respect and didn't look down on me for being a country boy, blue collar worker without a college degree. I wouldn't do for her parents if it ever came to that.

I made her parents promise me they would get his wife out of the house that entire day because I knew the sound of that scraping would be hard to listen to knowing what was being scraped off. I got there early the next morning and went to work. After about an hour of scaping and pulling bone fragments from the ceiling and tears running down my face I look over and there stands his wife watching my through the patio door.
She looked at me and said thank you and never came back again to see anymore.

Can confirm because we had to use one for my father a few weeks ago because he wasn't found for a few days.

There are cleaning services- the police and medical examiner can give you their contacts.

The service we used was a $1400.00 minimum.

@Starcrossed thank you

I just Googled it. Crime scene cleaners known as bioremediation specialists remove blood and bodily fluids and disinfect the area to restore it to its original state.
Sapio · 51-55, M
@SledgeHammer no business name, just basic information on an overview of the process.
SledgeHammer · 46-50, M
@Sapio im guessing a title or logo should come up
Sapio · 51-55, M
@SledgeHammer yeah, maybe, Google crime scene cleanup and hopefully something will.
3Dogmatic · 46-50, M
Yes, there are specialized cleaning companies that handle that kind of stuff. Think of them as SEAL team sink…
3Dogmatic · 46-50, M
Crime scene remediation maybe?
goodlil666 · 51-55, M
@SledgeHammer punch in bio hazard clean up. Are you dealing with a murder clean up?

RedBaron · M
Why do you assume there’s always blood spatter?

Many deaths occur from natural causes.
SledgeHammer · 46-50, M
I hear you @RedBaron , but im not talking about natural causes..
Guessing call your local "cleaning and restoration services". If they can't/won't they should know who will
REMsleep · 41-45, F
Yes several good crime scene cleaners are popular on YouTube.
I don't watch often but since I watched one a long time ago their videos occasionally get recommended to me.

The police do nothing about it. There are specialists who clean that stuff up, but the homeowner has to pay.
