Paranormal urns?

I'm not a big believer of the paranormal but I do believe in energies. So my dad passed away in November of 2022. I decided to cremate his body and keep his ashes but lately I started believing that keeping a deceased loved ones ashes and belongings is bad luck or brings bad energy into your life. I kept some of his shirts that had his scent because I wasn't able to see my dad before he passed away or after I wasn't able to identify his body his death was a mystery. Anyone else believe that if you keep a loved one's ashes their life slowly starts becoming yours or how their life was? I held on to my dad's belongings because they just reminded me of him but now I feel like he's telling me to get rid of these things I kept his clothes Brand new shoes, his phone which I still want to keep for evidence, and other stuff of his his coin collection, his brand new TV, and his ashes sit in the box in my living room. I don't know sometimes I feel like throwing the ashes away in the ocean not sure if that's legal though I just feel like he will finally be in peace. I'll never get over my dad's death he was my dad the only one I had but he is always with me in spirit.

I don't think they carry bad energies but if it makes you feel better you can spread his ashes somewhere he would have liked
