For people whose parents are deceased, which one(s) passed away? How did your life change from when they were alive and what do you miss about them ?

Both are deceased. I miss my dad a lot. He was an amazing dad and grandfather. My mom had Alzheimer’s related dementia so I came to grips with losing her a decade before she died. Of course I still saw her all the time but when she finally died the loss wasn’t so profound

Once my dad passed, I realized I had no one because all my cousins and aunts/uncles live so far away. I was a little lost tbh

I miss going and hanging out with my dad.

@Jenny1234 what did you and dad do together? don't have to answer but i am guessing he had an opinion on your marriage to you ex---what did he think of your marriage at that time?

@robertsnj we’d hang out at his place, take my kids to the park, go for cooler or lunch or dinner. Sit on his sofa and he’d do his crosswords and I’d do sudoku

I was never married to my ex - if you’re referring to the one who was extremely physically and emotionally abusive when I was young. My dad hated him

@Jenny1234 oh didn't know you were not married to him / the one you had the child with--sounds like it is the same guy. what an explaination of generations ---older person doing crosswords and the younger sudoku
