NFL football.

I have no favorite.
I used to be a horse racing fan. A very long time ago. No longer. For so many reasons.
RenFur · 70-79, M
@Carla

I fully understand, C... but I'm weak. I'm a Triple Crown loving guy. From Sir Barton to Justify.
Carla · 61-69, F
@RenFur it's hard not to participate. We grew up with horsey heroes.
We smile when those horses are retired and live in luxury. But only a chosen few.
When you see the underbelly, well...
Wasn't it just last year that the derby winner was disqualified because of doping?
RenFur · 70-79, M
@Carla

I know - I know... :(

Not making light of this - you've got me thinking. And I appreciate that.

I detest any so called sport that makes a creature suffer.
RenFur · 70-79, M
@Carissimi

I didn't know there was such a thing as bear baiting...

Carissimi · F
@RenFur Neither did I, but humans will think of anything to make another human/creature suffer for their own sick amusement.

Is fishing a sport ?
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
@AthrillatheHunt Is golf? Certainly not the way tRump cheats at it
RenFur · 70-79, M
@AthrillatheHunt

Yeah... I think I see where you're going. Fishing is stretching it a bit as far as getting upset about it. I agree.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@KunsanVeteran dude the fact you mentioned Orange speaks volumes about the thoughts that occupy your time .
RenFur · 70-79, M
@OlderSometimesWiser

I think horse racing is my favorite despite the dangers to horse and rider.
RenFur · 70-79, M
@OlderSometimesWiser

Generally? What does that mean?
@RenFur Means sometimes I’m put in a position to see it. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it. Like horse racing for example. I’ve been to the track many times because others wanted to go but it wouldn’t have been my preference.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
How could anyone have a favourite where an animal is hurt is beyond me.
RenFur · 70-79, M
@Primnproper

I forgot to mention the Iditarod. How cruel is that?!

Yell, well, there's horse racing which shows no sign of slowing down.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@RenFur i dont like that either..
robertsnj · 56-60, M
i think about that too everytime the Kentucky Derby occurs which was last week. 😔
@RenFur lolz yeah..
I can’t think of a sport where the animal is at real risk 🤔
RenFur · 70-79, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout

Bull fighting. Dog fighting. Cock fighting. Horse racing. Rodeos - chuck wagon races in particular. Bear baiting. Trophy hunting - -

@RenFur im Australian.. we don’t do any of that but horse racing..
and horse owners treat their horses better than their wives.. 🤔
There is none. I’ve gone fishing with my father and uncles, but that was more for food rather than sport. I’m willing to go to the fish monger.
GeistInTheMachine · 31-35, M
War gets a lot of ape monsters killed.
metaldog · 51-55
What the hell??.... the one where you are hog tied is my favourite
RenFur · 70-79, M
@metaldog

You're suggesting meat eaters who detest animal cruelty are hypocrites?
metaldog · 51-55
@RenFur yes
RenFur · 70-79, M
@metaldog

All life is kill or be killed. All of it. Eat or be eaten. I'm talking about killing/maiming as a consequence of "sport".

Wars? Whose side are you on in the Gaza situation? Do you want more Israelis killed or Palestinians?

Or do you want all the killing to stop?
