Same thing happened to me, I was at the ex carnival and I ran into my gfs friend working at a stall and she introduced me to her friend Timmy, a week or so later he was in the news, he was the guy that got beheaded on a greyhound.. 😧

May her family get the patience and strength to absorb the shock and the loss.
The machine based civilization is really not much more safe than while living in caves or travelling shepherds or agrarian villages. Instead of tigers, there are machines that kill, and airplanes drop bombs, and pollution and $-poverty.
In fact, the agrarian villages were safer in many places especially places with good rainfall or seaside places with ample catch of fish - many people lived to very old age.
