Death is helpful when making decisions

When I consider I will be dead in the end it has helped me to take certain chances in life that have really worked to my benefit
It's good I have death to give my life meaning.
If it weren't for death, I think I would be totally complacent.
What, then, would be the point of living?

Nobody can regret their past unless they are mature. A child can't see why he has done wrong, because he is still a child.
"I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things". I Corinthians 13, 11

It is better to go to the house of mourning than to the house of feasting,
For that is the end of every mortal, and the living should take it to heart. Ecclesiastes 7, 2
If you don't think about death, you can't really live your life. Faith is largely the hope we have on Eternity, because God, being Perfect must be Eternal.
"If Christ is preached as raised from the dead, how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead? If there is no resurrection of the dead, then neither has Christ been raised.
And if Christ has not been raised, then empty [too] is our preaching; empty, too, your faith".
"If the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain; you are still in your sins".
"If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all".

"For just as in Adam all die, so too in Christ shall all be brought to life, but each one in proper order: Christ the firstfruits; then, at his coming, those who belong to Christ".
"The last enemy to be destroyed is death".

"If the dead are not raised: “Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die".

@SW-User way off from what I mean. But thanks for some of the quotes

Lol, like what kind of chances?
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@Wiseacre it's personal. But we all have had opportunities for things. But for me they are calculated risks not fool hearty ones.

@Axeroberts I see

LOL! For example?
Axeroberts · 56-60, M
@Guardian could be anything risky. From a new job to moving to a new country

Hmm, might give that a try.
I don't use that as my motivation, but I always like to ask myself one question when I make any decision. What's the worst that can possibly happen as a result of this decision?

@LordShadowfire sure. That works too. I say to myself what will I say to myself on my deathbed
