It makes me sick that this man committed no crime at all, yet was brutally beaten, tortured, then left to die.

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout That's exactly right, because the cat of nine tails, which was the whip they flogged Him with, had pieces of lead tied to each end of the 9 strands, and was what tore into His flesh and ripped it right open to the bone, during his brutal beating. By the time they finished with Him, He was unrecognizable. Beaten to within an inch of His life, He was still made to carry His cross up the hill, where they crucified Him.
