how to deal with existential crisis after witnessing death?
after my 1 year old cat died a horrible painful death i cant stop thinking about how fragile everything is and nothing matters

I fully empathize. My other cat went as well horribly. Coyotes finally got her.
Her whole litter had the same fate, only years before she passed on.
I reconcile it by the fact that she at least had those few years in far better comfort and with love then when she was wild.
