Timeline of the dead white dudes
In my clandestine Reformed studies, i'm piecing together all the big names i have something or most of, to see things chronologically. I've kept out the names of their works for even the titles would be offensive.
I emphatically stress that my endeavor here is not according to the "rules" of these guys. My endeavor is entirely perverse, and singular. I see these guys and their writings above and preeminent over that which they all together uphold as the ultimate standard, and there's a lot of other things that would be necessary for a proper appropriation of the readings, to be read prayerfully, and to belong to a church.
But for me i see their works as a quick access into the rich heritage they represent. There's a whole lot more to it than what i've said so far, but i say what i can with a modicum of a clear conscience.
Reformers / Puritans / Dutch Further Reformation / and Systematic Theologians are the main categories of the following list. A few living or recently living names could be added, the single most voluminous and helpful living source is Joel R Beeke, i followed him on Twitter!!! And John Piper, and the recently deceased JI Packer and RC Sproul.
Heinrich Bullinger (1504 - 1575)
John Calvin (1509 - 1564)
