How do you not get discouraged when someone is better then you at something and they aren’t even giving 100% either.

Everyone is good at their own different thing, whatever that is. Better at it than most others. Those that stand out with talent and skills, like playing a musical instrument, etc... got there because they're passionate about it. Try not to compare yourself to others and find out what you're uniquely good at and build from there.
