It's interesting the responses to this all come up with ideas about laziness or just being idle. Here's another take. Sometimes there is a situation with other people which you dearly want to get involved with to help. The fact is that there is no help that you can give, but the hardest thing to do is not to interfere and let them sort things out for themselves.
