So many things in culture are cyclical. They can be with it and popular for a few years, then fall out of favor for a decade or two. What would you like to come back?

Common sense, critical thinking, logic, personal responsibility, a Constitutional Republic.

Men as leader of families and women stay at home mums. Currently I feel like I have a secret that separates me from the majority of society and my friends because the way we live is not socially the norm these days and not easy to talk about.

@LordShadowfire Why wouldn't I want more women who live like me who I could share with and relate to? Obviously if they were desperately unhappy, I wouldn't want that. They would need to be like me, happy and contented with this lifestyle for my wish to be valuable anyway.
@Patientlywaiting That's not what it sounded like.

@LordShadowfire well the post was asking what would I like to see brought back? My answer was:

I didn't say: "Because I think all woman should know their place and live in subservience to men because that's the only right and proper way!!!"

I think you should take more time to read comments carefully and really think about what the person is trying to say, especially if you're planning to respond with something that could be taken as a personal attack. There is a real mixed bag of people here, lots who are vulnerable and some with significant mental health conditions. You don't know how they will react to your comments so caution and kindness would always be advisable.

Homes with large front porches and porch swings. People used to sit on those swings after dinner in smaller towns and talk to people who were going for a walk past their homes. There was no air conditioning for most back then and the house was warm after cooking dinner so sitting outside a couple hours was a peaceful way to escape the heat.

Many things in life and the world are cyclical. It’s kind of a truism.

Looking out for each other!

@Handfull1 Now that is, A GOOD ONE. Why didn't I think of that Stanley?
I want to see another big band revival like we had in the 90s.
