What is one thing your parents told you that you should have listened too?

@BohemianBoo I know that one. I've heard the version that goes: "shut up and listen or I'll give you something to cry about...." :/. Never tested him enough to find out if he'd follow through thankfully. But it was close a few times.

Sorry you had some terrible advice/parenting from parents too. 😞

But I don't know if my parents were bad at parenting. I was an evil little bastard as a child, until dad whooped it out of me. I don't know, I'm either happy that he did the right thing, or I have Stockholm Syndrome. 😆

I was a pretty good kid for the most part. My mom had no trouble pulling me and whooping my backend with a spoon whenever I sassed her or was a smartass though. Which thankfully wasn't real often.
I just never pushed further than a light whooping

I don't think it was good parenting of them and would never do it to any kids if I have them, but it was also one of the only parenting tool I think they knew to use if their kid really wasn't listening, well, besides throwing them out of the house. But it didn't traumatize me either.
