What is one thing your parents told you that you should have listened too?

The only thing I can think of is:
"Don't dress like a slut."
(I wore some tight lower cut shirts, or crop tops as a teenager along with my girlfriends when we'd go out and paint the town or go swimming).
They weren't right. Because it was ok for people to wear those things.
But they weren't wrong either. 🤷♀️. If I had maybe listened to them, I'd have maybe encountered less trouble from tipsy horny men. But maybe all or most of it would have happened anyway.

@BohemianBoo Yeah it is. But I doubt my parents would win any awards. They weren't the worse. But they weren't great at the parenting thing. Ok people though.
Better advice would have been "Kick men in the nads if they try to climb on top of you and hold you down" or "kick them in the nads if they don't listen to you saying no"

Because you lose lots of opportunities and openings by focusing on trying to kick one spot.
But I should just say fight with anything to ANY weak spot if you need to. Be fearless, don't be afraid of hurting someone intent on hurting you. Strike, lash out, kick (however many times you need to)until you can get yourself away. Idk.
