I don’t understand

They tell you one thing, then do the other,
The thing they said they wouldn’t do.
What does a promise mean anymore?
At this age, and all we’ve ever lived through.
You would think instead of all the lies,
That we would finally want the truth.

I don’t know what your life is like,
But I wanted to learn, to find out who you are.
You say you’re busy, ambiguous, tired,
You act like being around me is so hard.

I feel so unwanted,
but it doesn’t matter at all.
How I feel is irrelevant,

Of a well of dark and deep.
Where no one can hear my silence,

At least it’s cool and calm,
Down here in my pit.
At least there are no lies,
No room for your bullshit.

Only thing is I am tired,
No one even throws me scraps.
