How do some states outlawing abortion simultaneously condone capital punishment? If one is “playing God,” isn’t the other?

@MrAboo Not in cases where innocent people are wrongfully convicted and executed.

@RedBaron Which is why the justice system has to get the facts right the first time around.

@MrAboo But it doesn’t. According to what I read, about 4% of people executed have later been exonerated. That’s actually pretty high when you think about it.

@Mountainlady16 So we should execute every death row prisoner and just say, "Tough sh*t!" if and when even one of them is later exonerated, as has happened more than you realize? As I said, a wrongfully convicted person can be released from prison, but not from death.

@RedBaron it takes around 25 years to execute the person they get plenty of appeals. Most these ppl killed multiple ppl

@Mountainlady16 But you haven't addressed the issue of wrongful executions. Maybe if it happened to someone you knew, you would grow some empathy.

@Mountainlady16 Unless, of course, there is a wrongful conviction. That has led to wrongful executions more often than you might think.
