Seriously, America?

For those of us who admire what you've as a nation accomplished, regardless of how individually ignorant you are (which is frankly much greater than what we could achieve) we don't understand why:

Would you elect a man who wants to throw it all away?
WE didn't elect him. He lost by 3 million votes.

Don't worry there are some of us who will hold his feet to the fire!

So what's the debate here? Seems secondary to the damage the guy is doing ...
@WoodyAq: Booyeah was just about to answer Ynotisay's question 🙂
Ynotisay · M
@WoodyAq: There's no argument. Just a clearly failed attempt on my part to get a "believer" on board with the truth. There was a "news" piece, generated by a right wing outlet, that claimed 800,000 invalid votes were given to Clinton. It derived from a study done during the 2008 and 2010 elections which was published in 2014. Despite it being totally made up nonsense, to the point where the guy who executed the study was forced to try and get people to stop talking about it, people like this guy keep repeating it as if it was a fact. ONE of these days I KNOW an extremist is going to say, "Thanks for telling me the truth" when they're presented with the facts. Might be in 30 years but I'm holding out hope that it will happen. :)
Ynotisay · M
Just know that the vast majority of Americans are asking that same question. He didn't even win the popular vote. What's interesting about that is he's losing popularity even among those who voted for him. You can blame America but please don't blame Americans. Except the lazy, apathetic 40%+ of us who didn't care enough to vote. You can blame them all you want.
Ynotisay · M
@WoodyAq: Well, what I'm arguing for is truth. I don't hate many things but I DO hate people believing and repeating lies. Have an opinion...support who you want...do what you want...I don't care. But I DO care about the truth. Can't help it.
WoodyAq · M
@Ynotisay: Alternative facts, you mean?
Ynotisay · M
@WoodyAq: That's exactly what I mean and why I get so frustrated. I don't like seeing people manipulated OR being reminded of how easy it is to manipulate.
When the NY Times becomes "fake news" and Breitbart becomes the "real facts," we're in uncharted waters that has very real consequences.

I'm sorry: by what conceit do you interpret "Make America Great Again" as "Throwing it all away". The problem in recent years has largely been that fact that the USA has NOT put itself first. For the last 8 years it has had a president who compounded with their enemies, and distanced the country from is friends. Please do not interpret the will of the people of the United States as destructive of and to the USA. To the contrary. What you in your pompous and crudely sarcastic comments simply can't see it that Trump, and at least around half the voters of his country DON'T CARE A MONKEY'S TOSS about you, and the pathetic followers of fashion in weaker, poor, stupider, less free countries (i.e rest of world). So just push off, and try and make whatever goatshagging country you come from, half as good, half as vibrant as the good ol' US of A.

@WoodyAq: questionweaver is a trumpbuttbuddy. He also deals in alternative facts. Useless to even bother with that guy
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
I love how 3 people hearted that comment and it makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They all apparently speak their own language.
Ynotisay · M
@JaggedLittlePill: That's what comes with them having their own facts.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Because Obama and his protegee Hillary were vastly worse.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@WoodyAq: No they were vastly worse. You are very very misinformed.
WoodyAq · M
@hippyjoe1955: no. From outside your bell-jar, obviously not. Along numerous dimensions, really poor. I suspect you don't have many dimensions though...
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Says a Hillary supporter Bwahahahahahahahahaha/ Ow my sides hurt.
He didn't win the peoples votes. He won electoral votes.
How he even got into the final two though. That is shameful.
He did awesome ... ya got outplayed!
Sure sure ... now his travel ban has just been deemed "unconstitutional" he's doing awesome!

LOL 😜
@celestialskies:

He is ... has more wins in two weeks than anybody I can recall.

And that judgement will be stayed quickly.
I am a Trump voter. I like what he is doing.
WoodyAq · M
Yeah. You are one of the people who want to make America less than it has been.

I appreciate your post. I have been curious to know what other's outside of our country are thinking. I have my own opinions, but I will wait to see what happens. I want the best for him, as he is my president, whether I voted for him or not.
And honestly, for me, Pence is much scarier then Trump, so I'd rather he not need to step up.
Ynotisay · M
I saw a compilation of TV coverage from around the world recently. From both allies and enemies. It was SHOCKING to see how far we've fallen in the minds of the world in such a short amount of time. Really hard to watch.
WoodyAq · M
@Ynotisay: yeah. But there are a lot of nations that slagged the US because we felt inferior. Now we are doing the same thing because we know we are superior...
rottenrobi · 56-60, F
@Ynotisay: geez, worse the George W?
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Why you blaming the people?? He won the electoral votes.
JaggedLittlePill · 46-50, F
Because they thought they were sticking it to the government. The establishment. They did not think far enough past their noses to grasp that they would be digging their own graves...so to speak.
WoodyAq · M
@Stereoguy it could be both, and it is definitely this guy.
