Have any of you ever been single for so long you couldn’t imagine dating again?

I've transcended dating.

Yeah. Until I found someone earlier this year. It had been an awful long time.

Yeah basically the first half of my 20's. I was celibate for years & didn't see any way I would ever get in a relationship. I used to fear it would never happen for me especially because I didn't even know how to date. Truthfully though I was depressed & the reason I couldn't date was because I didn't think I was worth it to anyone. Let alone to myself

It does feel like the wall has grown quite tall

I miss those, but I cannot imagine anyone taking my husband's place

I’ve never dated anyone but I can still imagine it! Maybe in a naive, silly, and unrealistic way, but imagined all the same.

Its just like riding a bike...you never forget how once you have done it. Just get out of your own way. ☺

I honestly don't think I'll ever be with anyone again. I'm just not in that place anymore. Very little interest in sex, no real interest in romance, I'm a void 👀

I've been pretty lucky with that. Haven't always made the best choices, but always been in a relationship or dating. I can't tell if that's good or bad, actually.

I'll add this: no morning texts, but remember all the bullshit you had to put up with. I used to write it down, because I'd forget, even though my sadistic ex did so much messed up stuff
