Ever find yourself judging yourself too harshly. How do you get out of that mindset?

I come on here.

It's my entire existence. But I know the root..I was ridiculed, mocked, and threatened daily for decades. So it's natural on my mind that I'm always wrong, I'm always making a mistake, I should've known, blah blah. It's only recently I'm challenging that for REAL. Really seeing I was NOT always wrong. I shouldn't have always known everything. I was living under a horrible and sadistic narcissist.
I'm learning we have to talk to ourselves like the inner child who could have been abused or mocked... And say You did good! Or you're really trying. Anything that should have been taking place for a childs confidence, but wasn't 😔

@Baybreeze That is very similar to me. (Though I have tried to combat the dark thoughts with weird dad jokes) Sorry this has happened to you.

I log into SW. I don't deserve PornHub or skankorama.com.

Not for very long. Understanding everything changes helps a lot.

The judgement is no longer a fixed issue.

I don't think it's too harshly, it's appropriate to the situation, really. 😅 Judging is not the problem here, it's the other part of me saying to the judging one to go f**k itself and just do whatever it wants to do instead of working towards the improvement.
