This is a moral dilemma for me, what to do? Advice or personal experiences welcome.
I handed a homeless guy a 20 yesterday just as someone was riding by yelling out their window yelling "arrest him!"...
I have no idea what that meant but it got me thinking, what if he's homeless because he's a sex offender? What if he's harassing local people? He looked unwell and I felt for him. I try not to judge people because I don't know their story or their issues. But I also don't want to hand out money to people who might be struggling because they've done something awful they can't recover from...
Do I just stop giving money?
Sometimes I've given food and they just throw it on the ground insulted.
Is there a right thing to do? Or just do nothing?
