I have to be the world's biggest loser

I'm 43 and starting over from damn near zero. I don't give a shit what anyone but me thinks about it, frankly 🤷🏾 Living with your mom is not the end of the world and certainly not something to be ridiculed about. In some cultures it's seen as perfectly normal for the entire family to stay there.

I assume you love your mother, so what's wrong with being in a place of love, comfort and possible new beginnings? Take it as a blessing that you have a safe place to land after a rough time in life instead of being on the street. Don't beat yourself up about it. You don't have to stay there forever.

Life happens and its not always good or fair its nice that your mom is letting you come and stay !

I'd say, be grateful that you have someone to lean on.

nothing wrong with living with your mom.. just be happy you have a mom and home to go back to and live responsibly and helpful and appreciative to them and get back on your feet however long it takes

Ignore the outside noise and focus on your future. Life sometimes throws curve balls and things don't go as we'd like. Regroup and get things pointed in a good/positive direction and come out of this stronger.

I don't get why anyone would ridicule you for that. I think maybe it's you who feels that way.
I don't think it's a big deal at all.
Plus you never know what.s under the the facade of a perfect life that others present. And if they find it fitting to criticize you for the way your life is going , fuck them.
At 40, you're still young, I'd take this as a blessing. I'd use this time to strengthen my relationship with my mom and enjoy however many years she has left.

Life is tough and there’s nothing wrong with having to start over and get some temporary help from your parents if you have that option. Don’t be so hard on yourself, lick your wounds and get back on your feet.

The only thing that makes me think anything really, is your attitude towards yourself. 😅 Idk your situation, there could be many reasons why you're going to live with family for a while, but the fact that you think lowly of yourself makes me feel like maybe you're a bit negative?
