Nope! Having lived away from civilization, I know better than to live right next to such a river.
Heck I won't live in a low valley part of a town either.
Rivers are fine for fishing. Not living next to. Especially in a mountain setting, where flash flooding happens.

@sp1dwoOfe221 I would make due. It would be much easier to be brought up in a natural environment such as that, than to return to it from this "modern" one.

Thats all fine and dandy until winter... or when bears show up when you cook dinner. Crops are only seasonal and theres bugs in the everything.

@GuyWithOpinions All the difficulties you mentioned could be remedied. I have a lot of conveniences with internet. But I'm not sure it's worth the trade-off.
