I want to suggest that board members have prerequisites

Like having their own email, instead of their husband's.

Knowing how to work zoom so I don't have to host them at my place.

Have a cell phone and are able to text.

It's ridiculous and the people that can't do these things are the most useless board members

My mom can text, but not zoom. I have tried to teach her. She is retired so no reason to need it.

@Confined these people mostly fit all three of the categories and it makes me crazy that they'd willingly join a board of directors without considering these things, AND we accepted them
