Who is the greatest Black speaker or orator...of all time ? ✊

Greetings ladies and gentlemen.
Here we are once again with our annual
Black History Month trivia.
Now over time we have had some great
leaders in the Black Community.
In my opinion it is still our responsibility to
lead ourselves. But anyway I want to know
who do you believe is the greatest Black
speaker or orator of all time.
My pick would be Mr Louis Farrakhan.
Arguably White Americas favorite
Civil Rights speech giver..that's just my opinion.
But that's what they tell me. Especially now.
But regardless of his controversial style, he is the best to ever do it. Hands down. 🙂
What do you think. 💬
Who's words hit the hardest.
Which speaker had the most power
behind his words. Rest in peace to the great Reverend Jesse Jackson. Best answer wins. 🙂📖

Louis Farrakhan

Dr King

Jesse Jackson

Obama

Frederick Douglass

My personal favourite is Les Brown. In my opinion, the greatest motivational speaker to ever live. He was also an elected representative in Ohio at one point.

I have a personal bias in favour of him as his words inspired me to push on and achieve things in my life.

I remember a saying of his that has stuck with me for years: "No matter how bad it is, or how bad it gets, I'm going to make it."

@Youwereexpectingajoke Yes. I know exactly who this man is. He's a cool dude. 🙂

You don’t even have her listed.
She single-handedly took down the SCOTUS nomination of Judge Bork.
Also Keynote speaker for Presidents Carter and Clinton. She was so articulate that guest speakers trembled when they were set up against her on the McNeil Lehrer PBS newshour.
I saw her at the Church of Christ in Cincinnati in the late 80s when she tore through the confusion of the separation of church and state.
She was spectacular and the first person I have seen to follow in her steps is Jasmine Crockett who also hails from Texas!

@Zonuss You put in a very good effort.
You are younger so I understand.
Did you ever hear of her?
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@Pfuzylogic Effort. I listed the greats. You have got to be kidding me. I've heard some hidden audios from Farrakhan.
You're not even close. ☺

@Zonuss
I am good.
It sounds like you won’t even learn about this great woman.

My personal favorite, and the one who had the greatest on my personal life, was William Holmes Borders. He also was a bit of a mentor to MLK, Jr. I always made a point to hear him when he spoke at the university when I was in grad school.
Ooo love em all

MLK and Muhammad Ali are my favs 🙏🏼 🖤

Not a big fan of most orators, regardless of any other thing.

They usually attempt to convince others, that only they are right.

That is inherent in being an orator.

I really don't like that type of arrogance. It's as well why I don't like Preachers. Only their own opinion matters.
BohoBabe · M
@DeWayfarer Unfortunately, being a good orator is usually necessary for creating any kind of positive change. Zohran Mamdani is great of the issues, but let's be real, if he wasn't charming and funny, nobody would have cared about him long enough to listen to his stance on the issues.

MLK then BarryO
Zonuss · 46-50, M
@AthrillatheHunt Obama's best speech was the one he gave about race.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Zonuss I don’t remember that one but he is a great orator

@BohoBabe Funny. This man actually made history because they had the longest run at the time as Black tag team champions. 🏆
BohoBabe · M
@Zonuss This is true! The New Day still holds that record.
