What's a piece of advice someone gave you that genuinely changed your life?

My father gave me sooo much advice on life that I couldn’t just pick one that is the best! If I could only follow all his advice my life would be so much more!

My cousin/godmother told me this during my early 20s in our native tongue:
“You’re too young - no need to get married right away. Try dating and meeting lots of people so you can figure out what type of person you’ll want to settle with”.

I think take a small piece of improvement per day.

My dad said get up go to work and show up on time the rest will take care of its self
